Since v2 commercial was released, Google Adsense module was upgraded and renamed to Javascript and Flash Advertisement blocks module.

It has an ability to place text and graphic ads blocks code, javascript and flash from other sites and resources. Also directory webmaster may place ads so much as he needs, using css selectors and view mode.

For instance:
Ads block at the left sidebar has selector #left_sidebar and view mode post (about view mode read below);
Ads block behind the listing's logo block on the listing page: selector #listing_header_block and view mode postouter.

View modes variables:
pre - attaches the code to top border inside the block;
preouter - attaches the code to top border outside the block;
post - attaches the code to bottom border inside the block;
postouter - attaches the code to bottom border outside the block;
replace - replaces inner HTML of the block with the code;

Hello Mihail,

What are the names of the different selectors? Is there any "overview" available?

So far I figured out, until now a selector can be a id of a  <td> element,
e. g. the selector #left_sidebar is the id of <td id="left_sidebar">

However can other elements eg div id's like <div id="quick_list">  be used too?

Where can I found this information?

Regards,

Mario

PS: Original Question completely reworked.

Hello,

did you ever work with jQuery or CSS selectors? Js advertisement and banners modules have the same method.

For example:
div id's like <div id="quick_list"> will be #quick_list

Did you catch this?

Regards,
Mihail.

Hi Mihail,

now its more clear, If I understand you right, selector in the script means any css selector.
Rgarding your question: jQuery - no never, css - yes indeed...

thanks,
Mario

Do you need just to remove a link 'Place Your Ad'?
or may be disallow users to place banners?

Hello,

uncheck 'Create banners' option for members users group. So they will not be able to create banners and don't see that link.

It would so be great if you could attach a screen with targeted place where you need banners.
