\nWooCommerce Search & Filter plugin is ready for use in any languages. The languages\/<\/em> folder contains WCSEARCH-en_US.po file, which is used for translations. The process of translation is quite similar to modifying texts<\/a> with PoEdit<\/a> application. The only difference is that before translation you need to duplicate WCSEARCH-en_US.po file and give a name to new file according to following rules:<\/p>\n

  1. On WordPress Settings -> General<\/em> page select needed site language.
    \n<\/p>\n
  2. Make a copy of the WCSEARCH-en_US.po<\/em> file and rename it to WCSEARCH-WP_LOCALE.po<\/em> according to your WP Locale<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Example for the Portuguese Brazil language: WCSEARCH-pt_BR.po<\/em>
    \n — pt_BR – is the WP Locale, it means Portuguese (Brazil) language
    \n — you’ll have to fill in with your own language, the list of WordPress locales     here<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. Download and install Poedit<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  5. Open with Poedit WCSEARCH-pt_BR.po<\/em> file.<\/li>\n
  6. Now you can find and modify any needed words and texts.

  7. Every time you save translated WCSEARCH-WP_LOCALE.po<\/em> file, PoEdit automatically generates WCSEARCH-WP_LOCALE.mo<\/em> file, which is the one WordPress uses and basically the only one you need to upload to your site<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  8. Upload generated WCSEARCH-WP_LOCALE.mo<\/em> file and saved WCSEARCH-WP_LOCALE.po<\/em> file to your site into wp-content\/languages\/plugins\/<\/em> folder. You can use FTP client or FTP manager of your hosting.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
